Monroe Historical Society photo #324

The two-story brick schoolhouse was constructed in 1911 on the southwest corner of 178th Ave. SE and SE 160th St. It had four large classrooms, one of which was used at times as a gymnasium or a cafeteria. Originally three teachers taught the first six grades. The school was closed in 1955 and demolished in 1964. The site is now a school district baseball field.
